Ray has had a passion for natural health since his college days in the 1970's. In his search for the best natural health products, he found roadblocks at every turn. Everything dead ended with clinical studies showing what an ingredient was supposed to do, but rarely did he find the ingredient performed as indicated. His research led him to look for what the body needs, not what a clinical study says an ingredient will do. From his ability to work with those with physiology and chemistry backgrounds he was able to discover formulations which fed the body and skin what it wanted - thereby getting vastly superior results. Ray’s gifting with marketing talents has helped him develop very large sales organizations selling billions of dollars of personal, skin care and nutritional products over the past 20 years
Immune deficiencies (HIV, Chemotherapy/Cancer Patients): Deficiencies in the immune system that result from chemotherapy, radiation treatments or HIV infection can dramatically change the balance of the protective mechanisms in the body that would otherwise fight off an oral thrush infection. An individual's ability to fight infection determines the severity of oral thrush and the fungal infection overall. Individuals with HIV are prone to severe forms of thrush in their mouth or esophagus, as well as spread of the infection to the intestines. Prolonged antifungal treatment may be necessary for individuals with severe infections and/or those who are immunocompromised.
If treatment is started, your doctor will usually prescribe a gel that contains an anti-thrush medicine called miconazole . You smear this gel on to the affected areas in your baby's mouth, using a clean finger, as often as prescribed by your doctor. Follow the instructions carefully. Use the gel after a feed. To avoid the very small risk of choking, apply a little at a time and not to the back of the throat. The medicine works by killing the candidal germs within the inside of your baby's mouth. Strictly speaking, miconazole gel is not licensed to be used in babies under 4 months old. However, many doctors are happy to recommend its use in babies of all ages.
